Ni-ly-ssen Up When We Talk

After two tough losses to Santa Clara University the past weekend, UC Davis set itself to come back against Stanford University this weekend. Driving out Ice Oasis proved difficult for many, as the early 4:15 game kept some players from attending. Regardless, Davis proved a dominant force with a reduced roster.

Though Davis was outshot 41-30 by Stanford in the game, the quality of shots from Gordon Dickson, Kaz Machida, and Gunther Schuler proved to be the deciding factor in the win. Goaltender Michael Bodamer won his third start of the season in comfortable fashion. The highlight of the game came with Nily Keramat making her season debut, winning her first faceoff while providing effective pressure in the offensive zone.

The final game of this quarter will be in Santa Rosa this Saturday in a grudge match that is sure to excite the fans. Davis looks to take a 2-0 series lead against Santa Rosa after winning the first meetup 5-4.
